Yes, Tom is a real person and a Simply Draw teacher! He's the one who helps learners develop their drawing skills, and he even writes his own replies by hand.
Tom wanted to leave you this note himself:
"I was told some people are questioning my existence, and you know what? Good on them! In this day and age, where it's hard to know whether anything is real, you can be sure that my love of art and artistic expression is an absolute truth. I love guiding people through their first steps in drawing - I would never let a robot take my job! (Unless it'll help me wash my dishes, then I'll be tempted). Here's a picture of your friendly neighborhood teacher.
Keep on drawing,
Tom the Teacher"
